We are delighted to announce that Shetland Family History Society (SFHS) are now part of the VisitScotland Ancestral Welcome Scheme.
Clearly, very many visitors to our islands travel primarily because of a want to seek out their roots as well as to research, look for information and link up with relations living in the islands.
With a host of dedicated volunteers the SFHS can help with all these issues and we like to look at folk coming home as returning family rather than ancestral tourists. If you are planning a visit, look us up – we’re here to help.
